I tell you this because we are committed to continuing this excellence in the years to come, and our coaching hire will reflect this commitment. Be assured, we have a stated goal of repeating at D-League Champions!

Barnstormers Name Mike Hohensee Head Coach
Arena Bowl Winning Coach Joins Iowa
DES MOINES – The Iowa Barnstormers today named Mike Hohensee as Head Coach and Director of Football Operations at a morning news conference this morning at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Hohensee joins the organization effective immediately and oversee all coaching and football operations duties.
Hohensee brings a wealth of experience to the Barnstormers organization, having coached in the AFL for over two decades. He is known best for his nine year run as Head Coach of the Chicago Rush (2000-10), where he led the team to the playoffs every season, including an Arena Bowl XX championship in 2006.
Hohensee has also spent time as Head Coach of AFL franchises in Washington, Albany, New England, Anaheim, and most recently Philadelphia where he spent the 2011 season. In 17 years as a Head Coach in the AFL, Hohensee’s teams have qualified for the playoffs 13 times.
“We are very excited to have Mike Hohensee on board as our head coach”, stated Barnstormers Team President Jeff Lamberti. “He is a proven winner in our league and has a passion for Arena Football that is second to none. He understands the storied tradition of the Iowa Barnstormers franchise, and we strongly believe that he can help lead us to an Arena Bowl Championship”.
Hohensee takes over for Interim Head Coach J.T. Smith, who replaced longtime Barnstormers Coach John Gregory halfway through the 2011 season. Smith guided the Barnstormers to 3 victories over the final 9 games, but the team finished with a disappointing 5-13 record, missing the playoffs for the second straight year.
The Barnstormers have also scheduled a meet and greet event with Hohensee tonight from 5:00-7:00pm at Overtime Neighborhood Hub Sports & Grub, located at 4810 86th Street in Urbandale. The event is FREE and open to the general public. The Barnstormers are encouraging all their fans to attend, show their support and meet the new Head Coach.

Des Moines Demons on Iowa Pro Sports Live!
Our second show was a little smoother than the first one. Not a surprise. We spent the first segment rehashing the Super Bowl, the commercials, the National Anthem, the half-time show, and the ticket/seating fail.
The second segment featured players from the Des Moines Demons of the Mid-Iowa Baseball League. The guys did a great job of explaining the league and the team. They were very actively involved in the conversation. Great job, Demons!
We also announce our new sponsor, Advanced Therapeutic Massage of Iowa. This isn't your everyday shoulder rub. This is real therapy which athletes should find very valuable if they choose to use ATM's services. I'm going to have work done to help my Planter Faceitis. (i'm sure that is spelled horribly wrong
Thanks to Keith at Advanced Therapeutic Massage of Iowa for helping us bring Iowa Pro Sports Live to life!
If you missed the live show, you can still see it here!

First show is in the books!
Well, we did it. We actually hosted a sports-talk show. If you watched it, or have ever heard me speak, you would think I might be better suited to do the ag reports on some small town radio station somewhere. I'm just a regular guy from Hicktown, Iowa, who happens to really enjoy sports. Obviously, being my first time ever hosting a talk show, I might have sounded a little awkward at times, said some stupid things, left out some things I meant to say, but overall it was a really good experience.
Bill was fabulous. I'm really glad I brought him in on this deal. His media experience showed last night, at least to me. He had great questions for the guests without any sort of significant preparation before hand. It will be fun to see how our chemistry develops once we get some momentum going.
Our guests, the Iowa Crush, were awesome! Thanks, ladies! You were the best guests we've ever had! Everyone needs to go and check out an Iowa Crush game. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the fierce competetiveness of these women and become an instant fan!
Hopefully in week two, I can shed some of the nerves and get more comfortable behind the mic. Check us out next Wednesday at 8:30cst on webcastonelive.com

Iowa Pro Sports needs YOU!
Iowa Pro Sports Live, the show, is doing shockingly well! We are one of the most viewed shows on the entire platform of webcastonelive.com. Thank you, viewers, for making us what we've become and what we're growing into! But in order for us to keep it going, we need help.
Do you have a business, event, organization, or anything else that you would like to promote but have a limited budget? Have you been looking for the perfect way to get your message out to the most people possible without breaking the bank?
I am looking for sponsors to help us keep the show running and growing. Sponsoring Iowa Pro Sports Live on webcastonelive.com is economical and reaches tens of thousands of viewers each month! And those numbers are climbing all the time! And not only does your ad air during the live show, it airs everytime it is rebroadcast or downloaded on the internet!
You can commit to as little as you want, or go all out, or somewhere in between. Any and all support will be greatly appreciated!
If you are interested and would like to talk to me about sponsership opportunities with Iowa Pro Sports, just contact me through the website or the Facebook page, or you can just email me at iowaprosports@live.com
Thanks!
Troy

Iowa Pro Sports is now on Playstation 3!
Well...sort of....
Look us up! Add IowaProSports as a friend on the playstation network and join me in playing Call of Duty Black Ops as well as other titles! You can even set "IPS" as your clan tag to show your support!
What can you do with "IPS" as a clan tag? Be the envy of all your friends! (except the others who have IPS as a clan tag..that wouldn't make much sense.)
Join IPS in the fight on CODBO, CODMW2, CODWAW, COD4, BFBC2, MoH, or even MAG and help me PWN the Noobs on PS3!
Or just join me in getting my butt kicked by a bunch of 13-year-olds from all over the world, which is probably more likely.
It'll be a grand ole time! And you get to say you were part of the IPS army the day we vaquished our enemies......or got vanquished by them.....either way.
So be the life of the party! Make life-long friendships that can only be broken by a bad internet connection! Get back at your parents! Impress the ladies! Join IowaProSports in pretend gun battles on Playstation 3!
Remember, if you don't join forces with IowaProSports in Call of Duty, the terrorists win......well actually, often they do anyway..
And also find us on Facebook and Twitter!! And keep checking Iowa Pro Sports.com for all your Iowa pro sports needs!
