Sanctioned IBEL Tryouts will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 in Des Moines, Iowa at 1 PM. Registration in advance is required. To register please complete the online form and submit the $35 online payment. Registration will close December 16th at 10 PM CST. IBEL tryouts are open to all athletes at least 18 years of age. Signing a waiver of liability for your participation is required. Hotels in the Des Moines area run as ...low as $35 a night.
The 2011 IBEL season will run from June 1st to June 15th. The 2011 season will feature a rookie orientation, 3 practices, 12 regular season games, and 1 championship game. All games will be played in Central Iowa.
The IBEL's mission is to develop local talent for the NBDL and overseas. All games are videotaped and available online for agents, scouts, general managers, and fans. Players, coaches, and game day staff will be issued a pay stipend. However, the primary reason to join the IBEL is for exposure. IBEL athletes are covered by insurance and provided lodging during the season.
